|
A community organization's party and performance at the eba Theater with Maude Baum and Company performing.
|

Theater set up Cabaret style
with tables, chairs, and a full house!
|
The eba Theater is an historic turn of the century recital hall
built by the Daughters of the Eastern Star. eba purchased the facility
in 1977 from the Daughters. The building was sold to eba
solely because of our mission to share the arts and culture with our
community. We have worked tirelessly to keep the building in working
order. With assistance from the City of Albany and the State of NY, we
have made the facility handicapped accessible, improved the heating,
plumbing and electricity.
eba shares the
facility with community groups with a similar mission. The theater
spaces are available for rent. However, as the home of the eba Center
for Dance, Kids Dancspace @ eba, eba Dance Theatre arts-in-education
and Maude Baum and Company Dance Theatre, the facility is used
regularly for classes, rehearsals, and performance.
