“In keeping with the mission of eba, Inc, a performing and educational art center with an emphasis on idea sharing, PAPAL, one of several Brazilian visitors in the region being hosted by the International Center of the Capital Region, will share and perform a short original street dance demonstrating several styles of Hip Hop including b.boy, popping and locking. Also performing will be Aaron Parkhurst, a soloist with AM Dance NYC performing rhythmic Tap dance. Aaron will also be teaching Tap this summer at eba.
Performances at 6:00 pm and again at 7:30 pm at eba Theater, corner of Lark St. and Hudson Ave.

AROUND THE WORLD eba & Albany Art Room Summer Day Camp

Professional Teaching Artists will lead campers on a journey exploring and creating art from around the world. Campers will explore Art from Egypt, India, Africa, Russia, Turkey, China and other cultures.
At Kids Dancspace@ eba, campers will transform themselves into performers from each culture and create Dances expressing the uniqueness of each culture.
At the Albany Art Room, campers will explore the visual arts, costuming, performance props, and crafts of each culture and create visual art expressing the unique qualities of the culture.
Each day includes classes and creative workshops; 2 snack breaks, and lunch in Washington Park (weather permitting, of course!). Mornings will be spent at the eba Theater and afternoons will be spent at The Albany Art Room.

At the Albany Art Room, campers will write, illustrate, and construct their own handmade book based on their original story.

eba performs 'HENRY HUDSON AND HIS RIVER' at Albany's Hudson 400 Celebration

Take a trip back in time to when Dutch settlers and Native American roots began creating our remarkably rich history here in Albany. Cultures were introduced, goods were traded, crafts were made and family traditions were exchanged. Experience eba Dance Theatre's HENRY HUDSON AND HIS RIVER Arts in Education performance which portrays the adventures of Hudson in theatre and dance, as well as adaptations of Hudson River folk tales.
Also take a tour of Hudson's ship the Halfmoon, watch and learn from blacksmiths, witness modern artisans performing traditional craft techniques as well as other cultural demonstrations of the time period.
